I bought this cooker as a smart induction unit, and while the build quality appears to be good, the overall experience hasn’t matched expectations.
The heating pattern is uneven: much higher heating in the centre and almost no heating on the outer circumference of the 160 mm heating footprint. This resulted in a 120 mm circular scorch mark on one of my pans. The footprint is small for a “Pro” $$$$ cooker and creates a highly concentrated heating zone that overheats the centre of larger pans instead of distributing heat evenly. The cooker’s cookware‑protection systems do not prevent this, allowing temperatures high enough to damage non‑stick coatings even during boiling. The unit measures 295 × 350 × 20 mm, but the permanently fixed power cord makes storage awkward because it has to be folded and stored with the cooker, and the power plug presents a risk to the glass top. The timer/power and “function” buttons are extremely hard to see under normal lighting, which makes basic operation unnecessarily difficult.
Although marketed as a smart cooker, it arrives with only basic functionality (power level and timer). To download the additional cooking functions, the device must be set up as an IoT appliance through the Xiaomi Home app. The app requests permissions that seem intrusive for a cooktop, so I created a separate locked‑down WiFi SSID just for this device. Unfortunately, the instructions for setting up the cooker, phone, app, and WiFi are hopelessly inadequate, and don’t explain the pairing process or the required permissions.
You can use the cooker with only the basic functions, but at that point you’re paying around three times more than other induction cookers that already include a range of built‑in cooking modes, and you still risk damaging your cookware due to the concentrated heating pattern and ineffective protection systems.
Power control is consistent, but the small heating footprint, confusing smart‑feature setup, poor instructions, hard‑to‑see controls, and weak cookware‑protection behaviour make it difficult to recommend if you care about predictable, even heating across the pan surface, straightforward IoT configuration, and not damaging your cookware.
The Tokit is perfect for camping as it is so adjustable. I was looking for an induction cooktop that I could use at lower temps that would not cycle on and off. This is exactly the right piece of equipment for me. Definitely recommend!!!
We love cooking on our new TOKIT induction cooker very easy to use & very controlled cooking we have had several portable induction cookers but the TOKIT is by far the best so far the app is convenient with the preset cooking options. For us it’s 10/10

I had a cheap induction cooker that was not suitable for use with inverter in our off grid camper. Purchased this Tokit Induction Cook Top and am so impressed. Can control the cooking temperature almost instantly… and no inverter “clicking” on and off.
6 minutes to boil the full kettle… 6% of 200ah battery power thru 2000w inverter.
Purchased to run off an inverter camping, test run was positive. The unit provided fast heat and although 2100w was powered by our 1500w inverter. Over time we will find our ceiling for power and usage figures. Controls were easy to use although I am doubtful how easy they would be to read in full sunlight. This size also fits nicely into the Kings padded carry bag. I very much like the design and think if reliable a great buy.
NB Again another product review request before any practical chance to properly test. It would be great if we were asked to review after 3 months.
Best portable induction cooktop bought so far and by a long way. Temp control is perfect, starts at zero current draw (ideal for camping with inverters) and simmer does not involve any on/off cycling. Low temperature cooking is ideal with induction suitable ceramics such as Topgres. I now have 2 of them and am very happy with purchases.
Very responsive, tactile and intuitive. Pleased to confirm that there are actually 99 levels of power. Relatively quiet compared to other, more expensive, units. Tested out several different types of cookware. Pleased.
The TOKIT Smart Induction Cooker Pro is one fine piece of technology. It is another step forward in the endeavor to electrify our household. With its power levels ranging from 1 to 99 we are able to select the best setting to optimise the use of our roof top solar and battery system. Cooking time is another variable that can be configured with the app that can be downloaded for free. Configurations of time and power settings can then be saved on the cooker itself for convenience.
Regarding the size of pots and pans we successfully used cookware ranging from 16cm to 23cm diameter.
The delivery was within the given timeframe, the communication with customer service was very good.
All in all, we couldn't be happier.

I love my tokit! I can choose the fire power and set it at to cook for how long I want it. There's also multiple functions on here that I could choose from. I'm glad I brought it. It sweat, compact and handy
I purchased our first induction cooker from TOKIT and we found the heat thermal control very responsive from 0 to 100%, this cooker seems to ramp the output 0 - 100 in power rather than - switching maximum power on and off, i.e. less thermal output being a longer gap. Due to its ramping control it has the ability to control temperatures at lower levels which minimizes food sticking on stainless pans. Pancakes cook between 12-18 on our Scanpan impact.
The second one we ordered arrived broken with the cardboard packaging box visually damaged, I immediately emailed TOKIT support who replied within 10 days and as per their web site TOKIT replaced the cooker.
The second order went to my daughter and now i need to get a 3rd for my son.
Thankyou TOKIT very good product and we have been using the first delivered cook top every day with no issues for 3 months.
This is actually our 2nd and 3rd Tokit induction pro cookers. The original one was for our caravan because it will run on the inverter without switching on and off at full power, as many induction cookers do, causing the inverter to surge on and off. We started using the cooker inside the home. It is so easy to use and the heating can be adjusted to suit the exact heat needed. No more boiled-over pots! Fantastic cooker, highly recommended!
To start with, the service was very poor, from order to delivery, there was lack of communication.
I received an auto email saying the order is confirmed. Then it went dead. 6 days later, had to chase for the order, no communication whatsoever until I threatened to cancel the order. Then received one email said it is coming. A week later, another email about shipment but no real tracking until someone knocked on the door. That was all I got.
Form order to delivery, it took 12 days. I don’t mind waiting but I do hope to be informed, rather being in the dark.
The product, there is nothing special about it. I ordered the product from their description saying that it can do sous vide. That is misleading. It does nothing specific about sous vide. It only has a dial to change power output, there is no temperature control whatsoever, no particular function about sous vide or set certain temperature. NONE!
The app, I have to download from Singapore region mihome app to be able talk to the cooktop.
Any other region app simply said it is not authorised.
The whole experience about this Tokit is poor, an expensive piece of junk
Still trying to work out how to use it. Would be good to be able to select temperature without having to log onto a mobile phone to use.
Apart from that works really well, love that it is so compact, heats very quickly.
Nice looking product, nice size(thin) and seems to have a good heat output.
Controls seem simple enough.
I does interfere with my hearing aids when in high.
I can live with that.
Only used it twice but did what i needed it to do, simmering on a low heat without burning was spot on, would recommend to anyone, in particular those travelling in caravans.
This is the best induction cooker I've used.
Providing greater incremental temperature and power level range with constant power at each level from as little as 270 Watts, rather than 1,000+ Watts intermittently as most other units do.
Love it! But it took a while to work it out.
Have only used it a few times since getting it recently, but it seems to be as advertised and can confirm allows good simmer control with the inverter power control.

Wasn't sure at first. Just using dial on cooker for power settings now and it gives great control over heat and seems to change heat as quick as gas. Better control than one i had by far and a lot quieter. Super easy to clean. Light and slim to store.
Got stuck wanting to connect to app on phone to use degrees and menu settings. Phones 5g won't connect. Used an older ipad then cooker and app happy. Now just use power dial on cooker and keep it simple and the cooker and i both happy.
I’m a full time traveler and live entirely off battery power, I have had a couple of induction cooktops for a few years but only having programmed temperature settings is not ideal and difficult but now I can control how I cook, I’ve only had the Tokit for two days but already I feel like I have the control of gas without the wind problems 👍 second one coming up soon 👍
